privacy policy
who’s behind this
This site (kissu.works) is run by Konstantin BIFERT. ![]()
If you have any questions about your data, or you want to exercise one of the rights listed below, email me: catalog.decline628@4wrd.cc (anything outside of GDPR won’t get no reply, ever)
what I collect
Basically nothing. To be specific:
- No cookies. The site sets none.
- No account, no forms, no comments, no newsletter. There’s nowhere to submit personal data, so I don’t receive any.
- A theme preference (light/dark) is saved in your own browser via
localStorage. It never leaves your device and never reaches me. It’s strictly functional, so no consent is needed. - No access logs on my side. My web server (Caddy) isn’t configured to record visits, so I don’t keep a log of your IP or the pages you view.
my hosting provider
The site - and the few other services - are selfhosted on Hetzner (data centre in Nuremberg, Germany — inside the EU). As the underlying infrastructure, Hetzner may process connection data such as IP addresses to deliver the site and keep it secure.
See Hetzner’s own privacy policy for details:
https://www.hetzner.com/legal/privacy-policy/
what I deliberately don’t use
No Google Fonts (fonts are self-hosted), no ad networks, no social-media embeds, no tracking pixels, no fingerprinting.
Feel free to inspect your Browser devtools and scrutinize the network calls.
Nothing on this site phones a third party to watch you because I honestly do not care about who you are.
I wouldn’t want anybody to snoop on me, hence I don’t do it to the others. ![]()
self-hosted apps
I might run a self-hosted Plausible instance on this same server and a few other cool FOSS (Free and Open Source Software) tools for my personal branding.
I’ll update this page when I do and I’ll also make sure that they provide as much respect to your privacy as the overall tone of this page. ![]()
legal basis & retention
The little processing that happens (delivering the site, keeping it up) rests on my legitimate interest in running a working, secure website.
I don’t store personal data myself, so there’s nothing on my side to retain.
your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, and to receive it in a portable form. Email me and I’ll sort it out.
You also have the right to complain to the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens — they have an English site explaining how to file a complaint.
If you just want to read up on your rights in plain English, the European Commission has a good overview.
changelog
I’ll make sure to keep this page up to date, here is the history so far:
